Study Suggestions
In order to do well, consider 
       the following methodology:
Read the text before class
Come to class and take notes
Begin review for the test several days (2 to 4)
         before the exam, allocating 2 hours at a time
Review/re-read the text
Review notes
Yes, you will need to commit some of the info 
      to memory
Get a good night's sleep before the examine
Things to know:
Anything discussed in lecture 
     may be on the test
All the terms from all chapters and lectures
Concepts from the chapters and lectures
Theorists & which concepts they hold 
     from chapters & lectures
The text is self-explanatory.

Exam question types
For the objective questions, you are responsible for all the material discussed in class, as well as that material in the book.  For the other types of questions discussed below you are only responsible for the information delineated below. 

Fill-In-the-Blanks usually require just a word, a phrase or or a brief explanation to answer. 
If they ask for examples, be sure & include those.
The Fill-In-the-Blank questions are given at the end of each chapter's review. 

Short Answers:  You should answer Short Answer Questions in narative form.  That is, write out the answer in the form of a cohesive, well-written paragraph.  Be sure and include all facets that are asked for, such as the correct number of points, examples, comparisons, etc.
Suggested length:  1/4 to 1/2 page

Essays:   Essays follow the pattern of a Short Answer Question, except that they are lengthier.
Suggested length:  2 pages
