Content of every assignment is evaluated. Check your main syllabus
to determine the requirements for the specific content of your assignment.

The
content will be evaluated based on how well is the analysis is developed.
This entails utilization of appropriate types of analysis, as discussed
in the section of the syllabus on Types of Analysis
Link It is important for the
student or student group to utilize several types of analysis (see the
section of the syllabus which discusses Types of Analysis), and to explore
each one to its logical conclusion.
One common pitfall is the underdevelopment of a type of
analysis. For example, simply discussing the occurrence of a given
social phenomenon at several periods in history is usually insufficient.
The assignment must show how particular socio-historical events affected
the outcome discussed in the paper, particularly the conclusions.
Thus an assignment must not merely touch upon several topics or types of
analysis. Rather each section should fully address a given issue.

and found in research. The assignment should
pay particular attention to sociological concepts, models, examples, and
theories which are examined in the course. These concepts should
be applied to the topic under examination in the context of each of the
types of analyses used.

must be fresh, or take a new angle on an old idea. The
observations/analysis suggest a critical perspective or unique insights.
The subject is analyzed intelligently, accurately & thoroughly
The paper goes beyond the obvious, providing sociological insights to the lay-person. The conclusions follow from the material presented. |

Where prior assignments such as a Draft are assigned, the content of the
term project should do what the student proposed it would do. That
is, if a comparison of two variables was proposed, then that comparison
should be made in the term project
