- Exactly what Anaximander meant by the indefinite is hard to determine.
- Anaximander certainly meant the Indefinite to be indefinite in kind. Else the argument against Thales makes no sense.
- If the indefinite is not spatially indefinite, then it must have boundaries, and if it has boundaries it is either a thing or a place, and if it is a thing or a place it is a definite thing or place and is therefore not the indefinite.
