The Physics

• The Greek term, fusis, means “nature.”

• Aristotle divides all that is into that which exists by nature and that which exists by art.

• That which exists by nature “has within itself a principle of motion and of stationariness (in respect of place, or of growth and decrease, or by way of alteration).”
