Julia R. Heise Scholarship

The Julia R. Heise Scholarship Fund was established in 2000 by the offices of Student Support Services and Upward Bound at UVA-Wise in honor of Julia Heise, a former proponent and director of the TRIO programs at the College for 28 years. The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet TRIO criteria for eligibility and demonstrate academic potential, which includes being a first generation college student with a low-income or low-income with a learning or physical disability, and a grade point average of 2.5 or better. Students must submit an application and short essay to the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid on how TRIO programs benefit students.

Deadline is April 1.
