The Miss UVaWise Scholarship Pageant welcomes all women of UVaWise to participate. The pageant is not restricted to ethnicity, height, weight, etc. Although you must be female to participate, the pageant committee encourages all women to come out and have fun!

For 2008, the pageant committee has revamped the entire event!  The first, most noticeable change is the addition of new categories of completion. These include:

Evening Gown

Casual

Talent

Interview

The restyled event also adheres to a theme. The theme for 2008 is “spring Supreme.” So, make sure that all of your categorical outfits/talents/etc relate, in some way, to the theme.

Each participant will receive a small token of appreciation for participating. And, of course, the judges will hand out Miss Congeniality, Third Runner-up, Second Runner-up, First Runner-up, and the crown of Miss UVaWise. Also, for the 2008 season, the pageant coordinators implemented a "Student's Choice" award.

All women interested in competing in the pageant must attend at least one information session. During these information sessions, attendants will have the opportunity to share her thoughts about the pageant itself as well as other related issues. Each participant will be notified of the meeting date and time through her UVaWise college email.

The first information session is slated for: Friday, March 7, 2008.
