Cold Fusion
This site is dedicated to the acumalation of all the cold fusion resources
on the web. We will try to be unbiased about it and give you both sides
of the issue. The problem with what we write here is that all our information
is second hand so what we find we assume that the people who write it down
are not lying. If you have any contrary information please notify us and
we will update our page. Thanks and enjoy.
What is Cold Fusion?
Cold fusion is one of the hardest things to explain. The people who try
to explain it have a small idea that they think could work but they have
not come up with details that totally explains it. They believe that it
involves deuterium and titrion combine in reaction to form energy, helium,
and a neutron. This reaction is not quite chemical and not quite nuclear.
The energy that is produced in the reactions involved rule out chemical
reactions because it is impossible to produce the amount of energy their
energy
There is
many contraversies
around the issue of cold fusion. In 1989 Drs. Martin Fleschman and Stanley
Pons announced at the University of Utah that they have discovered cold
fusion. At the time it was met by leading scientists, journals, and institutions,
with harsh criticizm. It then dissepeared from site and people now belive
it to be a hoax or unreproduceable. But dispite this there is still alot
of research and money being put into the cold fusion feild.
Pons and Fleischman, after their discovery, were hired by the Toyota Motor
Company and were treated to a large state of the art laboratory to continue
cold fusion experiments. Today, all over the world there has been, so it
is said, many more credible experiments being formed that prove that cold
fusion does exist but can't be totaly expained. Even MIT has published
their Technology Review Stating having a feature on cold fusion.
The people that debunk cold fusion say that all the results being found
is experimental error but the facts that come out of these experiments
prove this wrong. These experiments have somtimes exceeded their input
power by a 1000 times. With all the experiments being done around the world
it is hard to believe that all the ones that were coming up with positive
data for cold fusion could all have significant experimental error. It
is nearly impossible.
Here
is an argument on behalf of the people who disbelieve cold fusion.

Cold Fusion Impossible!!
"Cold fusion is impossible, isn't it?" is a question many people
may wonder about. However over 99% of the worlds's scientists believe that
cold fusion is dead and it is impossible. Even though most scientists think
there is no hope or that there is no such thing as cold fusion there is
a small group called Fleischmann and Pons who have raised tens of millions
of dollars in research.
These two electrochemists said that they could cause fusion of deuterium
in heavy water to give enormous amounts of power which is cheap and non
- polluting.
They declare that their experiments produced "one watt in, four watts
out"
Later on they declared that thier experiments produced"one watt
in, ten watts out" , but there appeared to be some obvious faults which
were pointed out. Later on some curious experimenters reported that no
excess heat was produced. Doubts began to spread and the United States
governments began to investigate. They reported that there is no evidence
to support cold fusion. Even though they visited labs that claimed to have
working cold fusion cells but they never actually got to see them happening.
After awhile many other scientists wanted to prove cold fusion exists
because it is something that could change the world. But after all these
scientists did their experiments resources began to get scarce. This caused
prices to sky-rocket which caused scientists to drop their research. However
some scientists which truly believe in cold fusion kept at it but funds
for research were scarce and it was slow going. Fleischmann and Pons however
show no signs of stopping their research but they have also started another
research so they are not totally comitted to cold fusion anymore.
Right now it seems to some people that cold fusion is impossible and
there isn't much hope for research anymore. However this has raised many
dreams for a better energy that is non-polluting but it isn't supported
by science which is good and just.
