| Appropriate Sources: You may use only scholastic or academic references. Scholastic references include scholastic books, journals, monographs, government documents and most academics printings (e.g. from the University of Virginia's Environmental Studies Dept.). You may not use dictionaries, the text, other text books, a text reader, encyclopedias, the popular press (i.e., magazines, newspapers, and the internet), and so on. |
| No Internet Sources allowed. Yes, if you read carefully, it says above that in general, no internet references are allowed. If you find a resource that also is published as a scholastic book or journal, then you may use it. Statistics and reports by government agencies may also be used. However any internet reference must be approved by the Professor. The reference will be reviewed, and if approved, it will be initialed by the Professor. Then the initialed copy is to be included in the appendix. |
