Project: Comparing
Strategies
The Margold Plan is essentially responsible for the formation of the
NAACP-LDF, & its pursuit of a legalistic strategy to end segregation.
1. Is the use of a legalistic strategy, as opposed to some other
strategy, just?
2. Would the NAACP have been better served by pursuing a strategy
of social change through the ballot box?
3. In general, for all social movements, or for a social movement,
how would you rank the effectiveness of the following strategies:
legalistic, federal level balloting, state level balloting, education,
changing public opinion, etc.
