Discuss learning & learning theory as it applies to
collective behavior:
1. To what extent do we "learn," in the broadest
sociological sense, in ways, through conduits which are unique to the modern,
industrialized world?
2. Critique the deprivation frustration aggression
hypothesis. To what extent is it valid or invalid? Give examples
on both sides of the argument. What social factors or conditions
make this process more or less likely to occur?
3. Give examples of the FIVE factors affecting the
nature & strength of the crowd stimuli.
4. To what extent does lack of leadership make a
collective action more or less strong, violent, effective, etc.?
