Name
of the Project: Formulating Research
Objective
1. Write down your thesis in its component parts
including the socio-historical analysis, two or more types of analysis,
& the future expectations.
2. For each component, indicate, i.e. check-off
or underline, whether you want a research objective for it or not.
3. With the help of team mates, brainstorm some
research objectives. Note, you may end up brainstorming actual survey
questions. Record these too & indicate as such.
4. Determine whether you want an RO for the types
of questions:
a. Background (demographics)
b. Activities
c. Knowledge
d. Sentiments (opinions, values, attitudes,
feelings, etc.)
If so, brainstorm separate ROs for these.
5. Have the Prof initial this rough draft
6. Type it up, email it in & turn in the rough
draft
