1.  Break the thesis or topic or thesis down into its basic component parts including the socio-historical analysis, two or more types of analysis, & the future expectations. 

2.  Write down your ROs, units of analysis & concepts

3.  Indicate whether you will revise your concepts or not.

4.  Which variables will you use?

5.  Define the variables so that you have clear delineation among possible outcomes

6.  What range of variation will be considered?

7.  What levels of measurement will be used given the expected range of variable?

8.   Will you use one or a few indicators to measure the variable?  If a few, list them

9.  Have the prof initial your rough draft

10.  Type it up, email it in, & turn in the rough draft.
