Name of the Project:  Conceptualization

1.  Break the thesis or topic or thesis down into its basic component parts including the socio-historical analysis, two or more types of analysis, & the future expectations. 

2.  Write down your ROs

3.  From your component thesis, and / or your ROs, determine, i.e. check-off or underline, which items will be measured in each

4.  Which instrument will you use:  survey, interview, other?

5.  Which unit of analysis will you use:  individual, groups, orgs, social artifacts (social objects, behavior, relationships, etc.)

6.  Which concepts flow from the units of analysis?  

7.  Which variables flow from the units of analysis?  

8.  Define the variables.

9.  What are the relationships among the variables?
