- Philip died five years later, and Alexander took the throne.
- Aristotle returned to Athens where he set up his own school, the Lyseum. There he remained for the next 12 years.
- When Alexander died, the Athenians turned on Aristotle, charging him with impiety.
- He fled Athens so that,"The Athenians might not have another opportunity of sinning against philosophy as they had already done in the person of Socrates." and died the next year.
