Teacher Training

The best way to promote economic literacy among students is to increase the knowledge of teachers. A primary activity of the Center is to provide training in economics to local school teachers.

The Center offers a credit course in economics that has been developed for K-12 teachers. The course focuses on basic concepts and principles of economics. It provides teachers with the training they need to integrate economics into all areas of school curriculum via teacher workshops.

These programs are offered both on and off campus, and are designed to provide both an understanding of concepts and methods of teaching them.
