More About the Center

The Center for Economic Education is situated in the Department of Business and Economics which is located in Smiddy Hall.

The Director of the Center is Gary R. Stratton, Ph.D. Dr. Stratton is an Assistant Professor of Economics at The University of Virginia's College at Wise.

The Center for Economic Education at The University of Virginia's College at Wise joins twelve other centers in the Commonwealth of Virginia organized under the direction and supervision of the Virginia Council of Economic Education, and its President, G. Edward Miller.

Within the college, the Director reports to the Chair of the Department of Business and Economics. The Center's advisory board includes:

• Dr. George Culbertson, Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor

• Elizabeth Lowe, Director of Continuing Education

• Dr. Peter Yun, Professor of Economics

• Ray Jones, Citizen

• Dr. Gary R. Stratton, Assistant Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Economic Education
