Welcome to The Center for Economic Education's home on the internet! The Center for Economic Education's mission is to increase economic literacy among K-12 teachers, students and the community, helping individuals in southwest Virginia navigate their financial futures. It is located on the second floor of Smiddy Hall. Established in 1996, the Center for Economic Education at The University of Virginia's College at Wise is one of only 13 such facilities in Virginia funded by the Virginia Council on Economic Education. Because the mission of the Center is to heighten economic literacy, a major effort is made to infuse economics into school curriculums. The Center:
